ANTIQUE SIGNED ALPHONSE GIROUX JAPONISME VASE
A gorgeous blue signed Alphonse Giroux Paris Japonisme vase, circa 19th century. The Giroux house produced exceptional pieces from 1799 to the end of the Second Empire, closing in 1885. Created by Francois-Simon-Alphone Giroux, his son Alphonse-Gustave and his brother Andre took over it in 1838. Specialized in the manufacture of refined objects for gifts, Louis WVIII and Charles X were known to frequent the designers.
